Product Description
Replace your worn-out decking and bulkheads with sturdy preservative-treated PlyDek XL plywood panels. Used by many original pontoon boat manufacturers, PlyDek is designed to be used in applications where a smooth surface and structural integrity are required. PlyDek is made with marine-grade glue and a production process that maximizes strength and flatness. Flooring materials can also be easily laminated to PlyDek.

100% fir. Square edges. One tight-knot solid face allowing no open defects. Fully sanded for receiving carpet or other resilient floor coverings. Unfinished side may have open knots that will not interfere with the plywood's structural integrity. 4' x 8'. 3/4" thick. Additional shipping charge required.

I searched all over for marine grade treated plywood and was not able to get it locally. I was able to find it online, but the price per sheet and the shipping were high. I checked with Overtons and they had he exact plywood I was looking for (the same that Crest and other quality boat builders use in new construction) at a great price per sheet and shipping was reasonable. The customer service folks were very helpful and the communication was great. The panels were to me in a few days and now my pontoon deck is new again. Great job, Thanks.

This material is better than [@] grade. However, it is only suitable for places where the overall fit and finish is not a big issue. While it is less than 10 percent moisture (by meter), it is a C-C grade surface veneer. It is listed as "sanded face" but there are deep grain markings, up to 1/16 deep, that will need to be filled and smoothed before it can be used in a paint application, or (my application) as a substrate for vinyl flooring. There are also many knots in the faces -- while they may be "tight" they also show dimensional imperfections, such as cracking, that will require attention for any visually sensitive finish. Also note that it is not actually 3/4, it is only 23/32. This is a common difference -- but unlike most stores, this is listed as 3/4, not 23/32. Marine Plywood, which is marked 3/4, IS 3/4, and I am trying to match this to existing 3/4 marine plywood. Many places it doesn't matter -- but for some projects you want to know what you are getting. For applications such as pontoon boats with a carpeted finish, I suspect it is a perfect product. For applications where you want a smooth surface for further finishing, look elsewhere.Gander Mountain delivered my 2 sheets, well packaged, in well under a week -- can't complain about that!

Comments about Greenwood PlyDek XL Plywood Panel, 4' x 8', each:

This product was what I needed as in a marine treated plywood. On the other hand the quality was not what I expected for the price. Only one side is a smooth finish and it is made that way with wood putty. I have not had it on the boat long but I pray it lasts without the putty coming loose. The reason I tried this product is because of shipping costs and I could pick up localy but next time I will spend the extra money.

Comments about Greenwood PlyDek XL Plywood Panel, 4' x 8', each:

The wood was not as nice as I expected. There were gaps in the plywood and I expected at least one side of each board to be free of defects. They were useable but was disappointed in the quality.

These sheets of 3/4 " were straight and flat Easy to install. The joints lined up good. I coated the surface with a non skid surface like they put on truck bed liners. The surface is easy to keep clean.

Comments about Greenwood PlyDek XL Plywood Panel, 4' x 8', each:

I bought this product for a pontoon redeck. The description of this product says one smooth face. Well, all 7 sheets have voids on both sides. I could understand a few voids, but all 7 sheets have 15-20 voids on both sides as well as bad gouges from shipping. Now I must fill and smooth the wood as I am putting vinyl on top. At [$] a sheet, I would like a little better quality, but it is still $20/sheet cheaper than any other place in my area. I would recommend the product, but only with the knowledge of what you get.
