GERBER has always been great knives.

Out of the box- "Dull very dull" No edge
cost me $35.00 to have it sharpened at hardware store. "There's no edge on this & guthooks dull too" the clerk tells me. I'm done w/GERBER.

Bought a BROWNING!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    small game deer elk bear. this knife was not very sharp out of the box had to stone sharpen. the gut hook worked but was dull worked better after sharpening. the blade was to fat for detail work the only thing that it worked well for was skinning.

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
