Comments about Gerber® Mark II™ Knife:

I bought this knife as more of a collectible because I had some spare "gander bucks" to spend. I figured if it wasn't any good no big deal since I was using coupons. I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. This knife is fantastic, made in Gerber's US facility, and a true weapon. (If you ever needed to resort to a knife as a weapon this is the one to reach for.) Well worth more than its listed purchase price. The only area for subtle improvement would be the sheath as it feels a bit unrefined next to the knife. I do believe the sheath may improve as I break it in. Little touches that were nice: the knife is serialized for collectors, came adequately oiled, and was razor sharp out of the box.

Comments about Gerber® Mark II™ Knife:

Carried one with me in my Aircrewman's survival vest (back in the day), factory edge still (20 yrs later)shaves hair from arm. Magnificent, durable, well-designed blade. One does have to be careful with it, as it's much more a weapon, than tool. Still rides on my web gear.

Comments about Gerber® Mark II™ Knife:

I ordered this knife as an addition to my knife collection. The Gerber Mark 2 is a unique knife and was a must have. There is a lot of history behind this knife. The knife has its own individual serial number as well.

Comments about Gerber® Mark II™ Knife:

Styled after the WWII British Sykes-Fairbourne knife, this is one of the best combat knives ever designed. It is a classic double-edged dagger with a unique twist. The knife is designed to cut both when inserting and removing the blade.

This particular knife has USA stamped on the blade and Gerber provides factory sharpening service which requires you to ship the blade to Portland Oregon.
