This versatile and well-balanced combo of a camp axe and hand saw gives you the tools you need to finish your wood-cutting jobs with ease. The "all-conditions" axe makes a great addition to your basic camping gear. A longer handle creates greater striking force. Glass-filled polyamide handle is virtually indestructible and very lightweight. Space-saving design features a hideaway 6-inch saw that stores inside the axe handle. Both the ax and saw (stored in the handle) worked well. I used the ax to chop down a small tree and do a little other wood work,but it should not have been to much to handle. Apparently it was. While it got the job done parts of the ax that hold in the saw fell out. Now the saw will go in but is very loose. If you really want a good ax and/or saw just buy them individually.
Also, personally I don't really care for the material used in either of their handles. It feels like I could hit it against a tree and shatter the handle. However, I will say that it is much more durable than it feels. I just like to feel like it's down right unbreakable (I prefer full steel with some sort of covering such as rubber or leather, but thats just me).
Bottom line, it may or may not break on the inside but other than a little discomfort when chopping this shouldn't cause that big of a problem. Like I said, It's just okay...

This is a great axe/ hachet i think the blade in the handle is a great idea i have used it many times and it is a quality Hachet even the saw is great.
