Comments about Garmin echoMAP 50s Chartplotter/Fishfinder With US Offshore Cartography:

Awesome machine and I highly recommend it to friends and family. The only issue with this machine is during installation the directions are wrong about the size of pilot holes you need to drill in your transom and console when mounting the unit and routing the transducer. Other than that it is super easy to use and figure out, just like a garmin GPS for your car but way better.

            Thank you for your question.
DV stands for "Down View"----the DV models offer the extra 3D like bottom detail option.
