i use this product at work we do land clearing & pond work and use it to get acreage figures for billing my local store did not have this product on hand so i ordered it online big mistake delivery was very slow and could not get info on when it would be delivered called customer support three times was told twice that they would check and call me back never got call back.will not order online again. if local store dose not have what i need will get it somerwhere else with dependable shipping

I had another brand for years that I could never get to work right. The Garmin ETrax 20 people quickly helped an old, non technical person understand and easily operate the unit. Garmin service is #1. I love the unit

I used the eTrex 20 with a map company chip to determine state and BLM boundaries. Other people in my party had other more expensive handheld units. We used the same functions and got the same results. They also replaced their batteries 3 or 4 times in the week we were hunting and the eTrex 20 never needed a battery change. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a good handheld GPS unit that just needs the basics.

geocache but my auto gps is better. base maps are useless at best. compass is slow to update IF it updates at all. not user friendly and gets into a loop.

Great durable product. However, not user friendly at all, and does not come preloaded with maps. If you plan on taking it straight from the box to the trail you MUST download or purchase maps.
