Twice as powerful as most other radars in this size and price range, the Garmin GMR 18 HD Dome Radar features the best weather penetration and target definition in its class. To help you avoid traffic on the water, it provides MARPA target tracking which allows you to track the bearing, course, speed, and predicted closest approach of up to 10 targets. Self-contained signal processing lets the Garmin GMR 18 HD Dome Radar provide you with a more precise, easy to read signature.

Easily Connect to the Garmin Marine Network! Garmin Radar transmits data over the Garmin Marine Network, a 100-megabit plug-and-play proprietary network that gives you the ability to expand your boat's system as needed. Once connected to the network, any network-compatible Garmin chartplotter can double as your radar screen. To aid locational awareness, you can overlay the radar image on the chartplotter's map page. You can also split the on-screen display so that you can view the map and the standard radar page simultaneously.

    Unit was easy to install. Worked first time right out of the box. Picks up rain, other boats real well. Even picks up birds even tho the manual says it probably won't. Outstanding unit at a good price from Overton's.
