This rugged, palm-sized navigator boasts touchscreen navigation, high-sensitivity GPS with HotFix satellite prediction, and a worldwide basemap in one affordable, power-packed package. Dakota 10 makes outdoor navigation effortless with a tough, sunlight-readable, 2.6" color touchscreen display. The interface is easy to use, so you'll spend more time enjoying the outdoors and less time searching for information. Both durable and waterproof, Dakota 10 is built to withstand the elements. Save up to 1,000 waypoints, 50 routes, 200 tracks, and 10,000 track points.

Get into paperless geocaching with Dakota 10 by quickly downloading up to 2,000 caches, with information such as location, terrain, difficulty, hints, and description. No more paper print outs and manually entered coordinates.

Dakota 10 comes with built-in worldwide basemap, so you can navigate anywhere with ease. More maps can be loaded to internal memory through USB interface.

With a simple connection to your computer and to the Internet, you can get a detailed analysis of your activities and send tracks to your outdoor device using the Garmin Connect website.

160 x 240 pixel display resolution. Operates up to 20 hrs. on two AA batteries (not included). Unit measures 2.2" x 3.9" x 1.3". Weighs 5.25 oz.

          I read the reviews on [@] and went for it. The sale price was too good to pass up. I'm a GeoCacher and I easily all 6 of the next GeoCaches I went for. This unit is VERY quick to acquire satellites. The [@] reviews said it was slow to respond to moving - and it is, just a little. Other reviewers complained about low-quality map images - but that is not important for GeoCaching. The ability to download caches to the unit is great and it lets you see lots of details on the download. For the money, I think I got a great GPS.
