I fish 3-5 times a week. They had a huge sale on these rods and I picked a few up. Stainless steel eye lets, solid construction, good looks and they perform great. My purchase was and is based on sale price but what I ended up with is a great all around fishing rod that didn't break the bank. I paired it with a Quantum Energy PTi 30. Perfect weight and balance to fish all day.

Comments about Gander Mountain Vortex Spinning Rod, 66", Medium, 1 pc.:

I was alittle skeptical when I bought this rod. But after fishing with it today I was impressed it handle a 3lb Largemouth that went down into the weeds and also handled a big pickerel. I paired it with a 2500 Shimano Sonora Spinning reel and it balanced nicely. I don't suggest yanking when you are snagged. All in All a nice rod but as another reviewer said I wouldn't pay full price unless they improved the back bone alittle more

I Bought 2, will buy one more. I tournament fish for bass 2 days a week. when bass get deep this time of year, finding them on deep drop off this pole is perfect for. I run 10 pound flor with a pencil weight based on the lakes current. texas rig a yamamoto and slam em. This pole can handle the biggest pike even. Its a noodle rod and it is perfect to run a drop shot with. I would say you cant buy enough for the price.

This rod for the sale price is the best rod you can buy. Its very light and sensitive. Alot more sensitive them my st.croix and gloomis rods. I fish with it alot for panfish but have cought pik and bass on it also. Its very fun to fish with. I bought one and will be buying another one also. I would not buy this rod for regular price though, but for sale price its a steal. The blank on this rod is very light and sensitive

I bought two last week, and put to test over holiday weekend. Three days and not one issue. Caught crappie fish and small large mouth bass all day. Lift easy and really light. The cork handle won't float if dropped in water, but feels great in hand. Paired with Pflueger Trion Spinn Reel 4725GX and ran 6 lb mono. Flawless hookups. Bought two more at sale price.
