Great for Texas rig, the slot in the worm is excellent because it remains weedless and doesn't make you tear through the worm to hook set. This makes for easier hook set and less damage to the worm, giving it a longer life. Also has a good weight by itself. I can cast it about 10 to 15 yards with no weight.Only fished it twice in a blue gill/bass pond with a 2/0 hook. Great bass set hooking. I had to work the hook out of the bass from the way they were hitting it. Blue gill amazingly enough were also all over this bait as well. In three hours of fishing over a two day period, I have caught 2 bass and 4 blue gill with this bait. What I did not like is how stiff I think the worm swims. I felt like its actions and movements were not very natural. While the blue gill were all over this I wasn't really getting the same kind of action from the bass, which is what I am really there for. However partial blame could be on the Angler there. I would highly recommend this if fishing small ponds or lakes that do not require a lot of bass searching. If you are on a large lake and not experienced I would probably use another bait first.

decent product
I use these wacky style. While I can catch more fish on these than other brands they don't have the same action. Yamamoto have more action but are less resillant and cost more.

Comments about Gander Mountain® Trick Stick Soft Bait, 4", 20 Pack:
Fish will pick up bait and run with it. Unlike plastic baits, fish will not spit out bait; success does not depend on setting the hook the instant that the fish takes the bait. Also excellent for weedless application.

Comments about Gander Mountain® Trick Stick Soft Bait, 4", 20 Pack:
This is my third season of stocking up on these and it only took me 15 minutes to catch my first big bass of the year. I LOVE these! I almost feel like i'm cheating because it's so quick and easy to catch the big guys with a plastic worm. My husband and his friends all made fun of me last weekend because I bought so many bags of these but when I pulled my fish out of the water first they were not laughing anymore. My favorite color to use is the green pumpkin copper flake.

Comments about Gander Mountain® Trick Stick Soft Bait, 4", 20 Pack:
The product is used for fishing docks and weedlines. At times I will use is with a 1/16 bullet weight and skip docks.
Overall a very solid product. One of the better Senko worms on the market.
Only downfall is that bass will tend to throw them while jumping, nothing a little superglue can't fix.
