    This mixer is great, mixes very well even in just the forward direction, but the instructions said it could be mixed forward and backwards. When I was mixing backward the handle crank seemed to slip. I finished my first batch (13lb total mix counting water/cheese/meat). And wanted to investigate the slipping, I thought maybe its screwed on since it seemed to work fine in the forward direction and thought maybe there are threads and it has to be tightened pretty tight, so I took it apart to see if it had to be tighted or how it was connected.

    What I found (PICTURED) is that the handle was made of two different metals (obvious difference in color) but I though for sure this would have something other than pressure keeping them together.

    Looks like it held by a TINY bit of glue or something. Seems like a critical design flaw. It should have a pin or gear shape of some sort to prevent the slipping during the cranking.
