Disappointed there is no momentary switch. I would prefer it had only the 350 lumen output with a switch that allows just momentary on and constant on. The other stuff does not address any needs I might have. Knowing that when I bought it, I was hoping for a momentary switch allowing me to ignore the other features.

It has three outputs: high, low and strobe. In addition there are color LED's in blue, green and red. The SOS flashes only in the red LED.

First click is brightest, second is low (still pretty bright) and third is strobe. If your light is on for more than about 3 seconds while in brightest or low then your next click will be off.

To get to the color LEDS you must hold the switch down for 3 seconds and it will change to blue, then further clicks to green, red and red/SOS. To return to white light hold the switch down for 3 seconds and it goes to brightest.

The 350 lumens are not focused into a beam so you're not going to be using this as a spotlight. It is adequate as a bedside light since it will light up an entire room very brightly. It will certainly allow you to conceal yourself behind a "wall of light" and temporarily blind an intruder.

Any well built 350 lumen light is certainly a good value on sale for $40. I just wish it had a momentary switch . . .

Comments about Gander Mountain 350 Lumen Tactical Handheld LED Flashlight:

Seems to be a good flashlight. I got it a month ago and have not used it a lot. But I did test it out for 30 min and left it on to see if it got hot like a couple of people have said. I can say it does get very slightly warm at the base of the light but nothing extreme, I had it on for 30 min and it did really well. It is a nice bright light that floods the area with light very well. Most 220 lumen flashlights have a small bright spot, this one is a large bright spot and fills in well with the surrounding light. I do not see much use for the strobe, but I can see a use for the multicolor LEDs. Does just as well as other large flood lights I have owned in the past. If you are looking for an LED flashlight, the 220 lumen is a great flashlight too, but this 350 lumen is much nicer.

As a correctional officer the colored leds are great for security checks when looking into the prison cells at night. Has a great strobe light and a powerful compact design.

Great flashlight, fairly compact size, nice bright coverage. Cannot comment on longevity since I've only had it a week, but so far, so good. I got it on 1/2 sale....can't beat that price.

I gave this to my father for Christmas. It's all of 350 lumens, but easily small enough to fit in your pocket. The different modes are useful, too.
