this is a long range pellet gun. Its dead accurate and very powerfull. I personally use the iron sights because scopes are for xtreme long range shooting. Idont like the fact that you can still hear the noise of the spring after you shoot it. But overall this is one of the best pellet guns in stores. It looks great and it is fun to show off to friends. Its fun to have compititions with because its extremely accurate. Your friends will be jealuce. I love this gun and in my opinion its the best break barrel pellet gun in stores. Do not buy this gun from [...] because it is overpriced. But for hunting and just shooting for fun its perfect and i vehemently recomend it. I might only be 15 but that just shows that this gun is easy to use and out of 10 shots 7 of them were in the centre from 50 feet away.

Most of the reviews i read say how power full the gun is. Mine won.t go through 3/4 inch pine board with a hunting pellet. Took a while to get the scope on but it is holding a tight pattern. and the gun is very quiet except for the spring noise.

Comments about Gamo Whisper Deluxe Air Rifle:
Bough the gun to target shoot in the backyard. Started with the sights and the gun was right on out of the box. The scope was in the mount an I attached the mount to the gun. With a little adjustment I am consistently grouping 2" circles free hand at 50 ft. The pellets that come with the gun sound like a 22 rifle shot, I purchased Crossman lead pellets and all is good very quiet. There are two police men that live in the house behind me and I don't want to attract there attention. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Comments about Gamo Whisper Deluxe Air Rifle:
The rifle is well made but the scope mounts need a lot of improvement as moves in scope rings when shooting even when tight and makes it hard to hit anything.

Comments about Gamo Whisper Deluxe Air Rifle:
I read a lot of negative reviews on this gun not necessarily on this site but on others and as is often the case the people leaving negative reviews did not know how to operate/assemble the gun properly. I would not recommend the ammo it comes with it is too light and inaccurate. As with any airgun the pellets are affected significantly by wind but the windage and elevation controls on the fiber optic rear sight are fantastic I was shooting 2" groups at 25 yards the first day. As far as the scope goes there are certainly better ones you can buy but I suspect some people did not properly install the recoil pin as I did not have any problems with the crosshair moving and was able to shoot 2" groups at 50 yards. Once again the ammo they include with the gun makes it look bad when you first shoot it, they are the noisiest pellets I have ever shot with some crossman hollow points the noise reduction is noticeable and wont spook small game, it seems louder than it is because all the sound is directed towards the shooter. Plenty powerful enough to take small game with some magnums it'll shoot through one side and out the other of a paint can. All in all I'm extremely happy with this purchase I will be taking it squirrel hunting soon and I'm certain it will do just fine.

You just push down the barrel and the put in the pellet and close and its ready to shoot. It uses air velocity or some air technology that when you pull the trigger it shoots that air down the barrel and sends the pellet with it.Answered on 4/1/2011 by Dylan from MuskegoVERIFIED BUYER

It is not that difficult for an adult , but for a 13 year old it is an effort at first. My son though found his own way of cocking it and doing it SAFE and he has been well pleased with the gun. He went Sunday to a friends house and took it and they had a blast.Answered on 1/17/2011 by Pleased father from Dyersburg,TN
