These hooks are the best. Kinda expensive, but the hook is the most important part of your tackle, even more important than the line, rod or reel. The major advantage of the red hooks is that they provide WAY more flash than the black hooks...you really can see the red gleaming from a long way away. That's why I always use the red hooks instead of the black...I definitely feel it makes at least a minor difference. These hooks are incredibly strong and sharp. use #3 for all my 5" senko's. Red seems to catch more bass than black for whatever reason. These are very strong hooks and will hold up great to log, heavy weeds & rock hook-ups. The red paint will however fade away within 20 -30 bass, but will still catch em!
