I've been using the 3/0 size as my main bass fishing hook for several years and I've been more than happy. I like the red as it gives a plastic bait a little more flash in the water. The red paint does come off after catching lots of fish, but only if you use pliers. These hooks are tough and reliable; I've never bent one, but if possible I'd go to a GM in person and find the hooks with a "Superline" sticker. They're thicker and don't flex as easily which makes removing hooks easier.

Easy to Texas rig. The red color may fool bass into thinking the bait is bleeding.

This hook holds its point well, is easy to set and helps as a fish attractor due to the red flash it adds to the bait.

i bought this hook never used these type hooks ... i was loosing fish left and right with regular offset hooks but these the guy that helped me at the store told me once you hook it and the fish gets past that first bend it isnt comin off ... if that makes sense .... but he was right .... i usually loose 1 out of 5 fish on those other plain hooks ... i caught my 5 out of 5 ... get these hooks
