Comments about GSX Tournament Series TO30 Spinning Reel:

I have been using this reel with the GSX tournament rod for inshore pier fishing.Works Great for casting light line using jigs and spoons. I just recently caught several schooling blue fish and several spanish mackerel, one super nice spanish mackerel 26" a trophy fish in my book forsure. The drag works smooth and the rod and reel casts great. Nice Combo and a Gander Mountain Exclusive....

Comments about GSX Tournament Series TO30 Spinning Reel:

For a described "Tournament" reel , this reel performed poorly , and was a disappointment. Casting for bass in thick cover , using 20lb braided line , was a big problem. The bail kept closing during the cast , after only one morning of fishing. Reel looks expensive , but doesn't perform like it.
