Very functional and easy to use
Very funcional when attached to fly fishing vest.
Being able to extend the handle comes in very handy when fishing in clutter.

I bought this net because space is at a premium on our boat. I thought this would save space and still perfrom well also. The only thing the net has done is save space, since it has been thrown out! If you plan to catch anything bigger then panfish or any longer then about 18 inches DO NOT BUY THIS NET!!! I fish alot for walleye in the spring and this net is just not big enough, this is my fault there but when you have to net a fish and your hook/hooks get caught in the net it takes 10 to 30 minutes to get your hook/hooks free depending on what you are using. The barbs grab the net and you can't free them very well. The net has very fine mesh woven into a larger mesh, a horrible idea unless the entire thing is coated to seal up the fine mesh.

This net is a good value. It seems to be well constructed and relatively portable. It would be nice if it had some sort of strap to make it more portable, however, it folds down nicely to store and tote around.

Comments about Frabill® Kwik Stow Folding Net, 18" x 16":
my friend bought this net so we could take up less space on the boat, had no problems landing 5 to 10 lb fish, however the first twenty pounder we tried to land, broke the clip that secures the net in the open position and to make matters worse, the fish cut straight through the bottom of the net. we lost that fish (king salmon) and i guess we ll be buying a bulkier, more sturdy net.

We keep this on our boat to retrieve lost items. Stores easily and appears durable enough for our use.
