    These are terrific for those rare times you "max out" your capacity. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on extra vests, because I usually have more than enough vests for my usual contingent. Having these as spares allows me to just bring them out to the boat to meet compliance standards without wasting money or space!

                                These are Coast Guard Approved but they are not Type I Offshore Commercial Vest. These have a Type II rating.

                                THEY WILL HOLD UP 230 LBS BECAUSE I TESTED THEM IN THE WATER TO BE SURE. I AM NOT SURE WHAT THE TEST WEIGHT LIMIT IS.
