I purchased this for use for trout fishing. I specifically use the trout magnet. It is super light and super sensitive. I like the longer rod that with a backcone that can be used with light line applications. This would be my all purpose rod for trout and crappie fishing. I also have the 6'8" UL version for smaller streams and using spinners. Also, the customer service of Fenwick is second to none.
