I've owned my Fendergrips for 3 years now and think they're terrific. Very intuitive design; push the button to drop the fender down, and grab the unit while pulling the free end of the line to go up.
They have also have weathered very well and work as good as the day I received them from Overton's. I have also rafted up with friends overnight who have been jealous of my easy, push button fender adjustment.
The Fendergrip certainly beats tying knots and is heavy duty in construction. You can't compare Fendergrips to strap adjusters, hook & loop adjusters, or suction cup holders... Fendergrips take a much higher load, take a lot of abuse, and have never jammed.
Get them and I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Comments about Fendergrip™ - Adjust Fender Height In Seconds:
These are great to pull up fenders and have them be stored horizontal at the rail versus having large fender holders that disrupt your view. Very nice. I ordered 2 to try on 1 fender and now I am goign to order more since they work so well

Comments about Fendergrip™ - Adjust Fender Height In Seconds:
Purchased this item for a new pontoon boat. Currently store the fenders in the seats when not in use. The fenders are only used on a foreign dock, or when mooring up with other pontoons in the middle of the lake. Probably a little overkill for my application, but adjusts quick and easy and has held firmly in place (thus far). It performed the job I wanted to accomplish. I am going to purchase a few more to run the fenders horizontally.

Comments about Fendergrip™ - Adjust Fender Height In Seconds:
My boat doesn't have enough cleats yet, but this device enabled the use of round bars in the boat to secure bumpers. We docked the boat on the Ohio River overnight and she got rocked pretty good, but the bumpers held tight.

Comments about Fendergrip™ - Adjust Fender Height In Seconds:
These fendergrips are great! We have 2 on the port side bow rail and 2 on the starboard side bow rail. Using the fendergrips allows freedom on the cleats for just the springlines. The fendergrips are easily adjustable to raise and lower the fenders when we are docking or getting underway. No more removing the fenders and storing them while we are underway and then re-attaching them as we approach the dock. The fendergrips allow us to lower and raise the fenders in seconds! No more fumbling around to get them retied to the cleats before docking, especially in rough waters.

Yes it can be used on a square rail. The houseboat has square rails anmd there were no problems.Answered on 6/18/2010 by Grandpa from GilroyVERIFIED BUYER
A:
Yes, they can be used on square rail too, the weight of the fender is supported by the fender line looped over the rail (round or square). The square rail wont fit into the round cut out when you pull the line tight, but the fender will be supported and adjusted the same.Answered on 6/21/2010 by Rich from Central NY

Yes, you just have to be careful when letting other people use them - if they are not familiar with them they can be dropped into the water. I am going to put something on the end of my buoy ropes this year so they can't fall off!Answered on 4/5/2010 by Stanamal from Mauston, WI
