This little product helps make boating easier in a big way. They fit the railings like a glove. On the rivers, you never know what side of the lock you will be placed on when locking through. With this product, it just don't matter! Push on Pull off - 123 and you switched your fenders to the other side of the boat. No more trying to tie and untie knoted ropes or buying extra fenders you don't need. This fender adjuster keeps your fender secure, unlike the straps that rip and you lose your fenders. TO THE MANUFACTURE - THANK YOU

This looked like agood idea so I bought several. However, in real life they are not worth half the price.

These hooks are fragile and constantly crack in everyday use. They will not hold a bumper in place unless the line is wrapped around the railing and secured, so they do not save time either.

Go ahead and tie your bumpers by hand.

Comments about Taylor Made Fender Adjusters For Pontoon Boat Rails, 4-pack:

We had nice buckle straps for our floaters that hang on the side of the boat however, with hot summer days the straps dry rotted. These clips make it easy to remove and store when the boat is moving and then place on either side of the pontoon that is needed. Nice product.

Attached easily to fender lines, clips on to rails securely. Works great. Heavy duty plastic so hoping they stand the test of time.

How do this actually attach to the rail? I looks like they just slip over the rail but don't actually fasten in any way, which makes me think they could pop off easily??

            • Staff Reviewer

              A:

Yes. They just slide over the square pontoon rail and the friction and weight of the fender and line hold them in place. They will fit tighter on a 1.25" rail versus 1" but they will not pop off unless something hits them to push them up. Since your fenders are hung with fender line contact between the fender and the dock has no effect on the fender adjusters. The design of these fender adjusters allow you to quickly move, install or remove your fenders and line as you are approaching or leaving your dock or another boat.

              A:

Yes there is definitely going to be a moderately low weight limit because it is meant to hold very light fenders.

Just thread the fender line up through the opening and tie a knot in the line so the fender hangs at the desired height. I just leave the hangers on mine when I stow the fenders. Then just pull out the fenders and snap the hangers over the side rail. The hangers fit very snugly over the 1 1/4" rails. Makes tying up dockside a snap. One of the best investments I ever made. By the way, they don't float!

              A:

These are fender line holders that allow you to hang your fender on a pontoon rail and remove or relocate your fenders very easily. The fender line just run through the clip and is tied off in a knot once the correct height is adjusted.

I want to order a couple packs of these; but my pontoon rails are 1 1/4" not 1". How do I specify 1 1/4" and not get the 1" that will be too small?

            Thanks, Richard Little

They will fit the 1 1/4" rails very well....I use these often. there is not a size selection they are designed to be universal.
