The bottom of most all modern fiberglass mass produced boats is solid fiberglass--but to be safe its to contact the mfg.

I have a 2005 sea ray 185 sport. I do not want to drill holes in the boat. will this work on the boat, is it glued to the hull on the inside for the transducer? if so what type of epoxy should I use?

Transducer can be epoxied into the hull of your boat. Any two part epoxy will work for the application...make sure that the are is clean , clear and you work all air bubbles out for best performance.

                Hello Ed,

The information that I have does not list a minimum or maximum speed for the depth gauge to work properly. The slower that you are able to travel is the best for an accurate depth reading.

                Thank you,
                Steve

Sounders with in-hull transducers will not work with aluminum. Non-cored fiberglass hulls only.

Are these in hull transducers really watertight? Mine would need to be in the bilge underneath the V8 engine. Close quarters for installation or removal.

Yes--you should not have any water intrusion with this transducer.
