I am not a swimmer. We took a vacation to the Caribbean and were in the water a lot - swimming, snorkeling, etc. I wore this belt and never had a concern for my safety! It was lightweight, comfortable, and I forgot I had it on! I am not sure how well it will work back in the states in lake water but intend to find out this weekend!

Nothing wrong with the manufacturer; its belts in general. Hit the water skiing as a kid and the impact stunned me. The belt slipped down my waist to my thighs and held me floating; but upside down with my feet in the air. Someone jumped in and flipped me over until I regained my senses. No wonder belts are NOT coast Guard approved. Use a vest.

Comments about Overton's Double Waterski Belt:
My six year old needed a little extra flotation while keeping his hands and arms free to learn to swim. This allows him to stay afloat while learning to kick and stroke his arms.

Comments about Overton's Double Waterski Belt:
My wife & I are retired & live on a lake. We use our belts mainly for exercise in the water. The belt allows excellent & unrestricted movement for whatever water activity we want to do. We didn't realize how much freedom of movement we had until the sore muscles showed up. It is also a great product to get the heart pumping more than the usual cadence. It is more fun in the water with our children & grandchildren due to freedom of movement that a regular life jacket doesn't allow. Love it, love it, love it.

Comments about Overton's Double Waterski Belt:
I purchased 2 belts for both my husband and I. We have three small grandchildren that are very active at the lake and the belts are great for being in the lake with them. The belts also work great for exercising in the lake. We plan on ordering more for our guests.
