    I have a 1 yr old chocolate lab with very strong retrieving instincts. Bought this for her to keep her from getting rocks on her walks. She absolutely loves the thing!!! Goes crazy whenever I bring it out. Only problem I have with the product is the quality of the paint used. My duck didn't even have ANY color on the body when it first arrived. What's up with that? Other than that, great training aid.

      The Dokken waterfowl dummy is a good product. It is pretty well made, but I was a bit disappointed at how easily the foam is chewed. I was under the impression that it was going to be a very hard foam that is able to withstand a mouth that isn't quite trained so well yet. My puppy is 10 months old, and occassionally chews it upon retrieve a little more than a dog should. It is very visible in the Dokken dummy where those chunks of foam are missing. In combination with the scent, this could be the most "life-like" artificial training tool to introduce a pup to hunting.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          I have just gotten a yellow lab puppy and will be training it for duck/goose hunting. I like this product because it discourages shaking of birds.
