Prevent expensive damage to boat and dock and protect your hull against unsightly scratches and hard-to-remove scuff marks with Dockmate Profiles. Dockmate Profiles are constructed of flexible, marine-grade PVC which will not chip or crack from temperature extremes and are unaffected by oil, gas, or saltwater. Put around deck for pool
My husband and son put the dock mate slant "p" around the deck for our pool so no one would hurt themselves on the rough parts of the deck.

I didn't really pay attention to the catalog description but looked mainly at the picture of the product. Was disappointed that product was not bigger and of a heavier gauge material. I did, however, install it along the dock edge but also installed boat bumpers below it to do the majority of the work.

Comments about Dockmate Slant "P" Profile:
This product comes in a roll and is totally flat when you get it. The plastic is VERY stiff and it is impossible to get it back to the "P" shape in order to mount it to the dock edge. I even tried heating it in a clothes dryer to soften it and make it more managable; didn't work! I had cut it to length so I couldn't return it. Ended up throwing it away. NOT recommended!

Q:
Hello - I am interested in order 5 lengths of the Dockmate Slant P dock edge, but concerned about the comsumer review that claims it arrives rolled tight and crushed flat, is hard, unmaleable and is difficult to work with. Was this an unusual situation? Or is there a method you would recommend for working with it? Please advise. Thanks so much. KAsked on 7/16/2009 by Anonymous1 answer

A:
These are rolled this way to prevent the product from "waving" and should not be to difficult to manage once it is rolled out. I recommend setting it out in the sun for a while to let it heat up. Once it is unraveled, it is pretty manageable.Answered on 7/20/2009 by Ryan from Overtons
Q:
can this product be ran flat and not turn 90 degrees at the top where it is shown to over lap the top of the board.Asked on 6/29/2009 by Anonymous1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
No, you may want to look at purchasing item 71944 if you are wanting a flat mount. This is our "d" profile and is the same price for a 16ft roll.Answered on 6/30/2009 by Ryan from Overtons
