Product DescriptionGreat for bass boats, runabouts, and ski boats, these fenders provide outstanding protection for gunwales and hulls. Constructed with a 3-layer marine vinyl cover; high-impact, closed-cell foam; and heavy-duty grommets so it stays attached. Can be attached with fender line or suction cups (both sold separately). This hinged fender measures 24"W x 6"W x 2-1/2"D.

A:The fender is not designed to be a dock fender. You would be better served with something like this:

A:We decided to add grommets to this product to make mounting options easier and more universal. You can use the grommets to run line through and hang the fender from a cleat if you don't have railing to attach it to.Answered on 5/27/2009 by Ryan from Overtons
