We just purchased 2 sea doos this summer to add to our summer fun with our purchase of pontoon last year. We have two of these bumpers and attach to each side of boat....great for docking jet skis, especially with an unexperienced driver like some we get on the boat. Works much better than having to anchor jet skis. Also have handicap daughter...allows her to board jet skis much easier from boat. Friend needing 2, will most definitely recommend.

Not what I expected
The padding material was not the full length of the piece. It was actually several pieces spaced some distance apart.

Comments about Dockmate High Profile Rafting Fender:
I am always messing with individual fenders, which are hard to get in the correct position and which "ride up" on the dock. This product should make it a lot easier to protect the boat quickly.

Cons
- Not so easy to fold back
- Tends to sag

Comments about Dockmate High Profile Rafting Fender:
Works as expected, but it would be nice if there were stiffners at the top in the four folds so it will not sag and will fold back up easier. The boat did not have a way to tie up at all of the grommits, so a plastic rod or plate at the top in the four foldning areas would help prevent the sag and make it hang better.

Comments about Dockmate High Profile Rafting Fender:
I bought two of these one for each side of the boat and used them both during Billy Bowlegs this year. They provided a 9 foot long and 26 inch high barrier between my boat and the boats on either side of me.
I would like for the Rafting Fender to have one more pad in the middle even though it would make the fender bulkier for storage.
Overall it is a great product and I am very pleased with the protection it gives my boat.

Q:
Will one 9" x 26" fender suffice for my 24ft boat against a houseboat for a week? Do I need two of them? Is that 9 feet long?Asked on 1/20/2010 by Fez from Valparaiso, IN3 answers

A:
Yes this would suffice for a larger boat like your Houseboat. And yes this is 9' long, not 9".Answered on 1/25/2010 by Bob from Overton's TechVERIFIED BUYER
A:
We just purchased 2 one for each side of 21ft pontoon to put a jet ski on each side......one might be sufficient if you have a regular bumper on each end and had this in middle....if not, i would want to use 2 of them....the large ones are 9ft longAnswered on 6/16/2010 by Choat Family from Grand Rivers, KY..Land between the lakesVERIFIED BUYER
A:
I don't know what type of boat you have so it is hard to say with certainty so I will tell you about the use with my boat. I have a 26' Chaparral and when I use one Rafting Fender against a larger boat I put out two additional fenders. If I were going to leave my boat tied for a week I would use two of the rafting fenders. They do not get fouled like regular fenders seem to.Answered on 6/15/2011 by Kirk's World from Crestview, Fl
Q:
I am looking to buy this product. My question is, how easy is it to clean from algae and lake scum. What products do you suggest? Also how strong is the vinyl for years of use.
Thank you.Asked on 6/13/2009 by Anonymous from West Michigan1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
This product is fairly easy to keep clean and can be cleaned with any all purpose or vinyl cleaner. We recommend our all purpose cleaner item 73606 or our vinyl cleaner item 73608. These items are also offered in a kit under item 75551Answered on 6/16/2009 by Ryan from Overtons
Q:
Just received this product. Was hoping I could get some advice on mounting it to the dock. There were no instuctions.Asked on 5/7/2009 by JPO from Chicago, IL1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The Dockmate Rafting Fenders were designed with grommets so they would have versatile mounting options for dock or boat use. If you are mounting to your dock you can use stainless screws with a wide head or washer. We mounted ours with the mounting flange folded over the top deck of the dock.
If you are mounting on your boat the grommets are large enough to accept most fender or dock lines.Answered on 5/11/2009 by merchandiser from Overtons
