Product DescriptionDockmate Mooring Whips are an excellent way to protect your boat or watercraft from damage caused by wind or high wake. These whips provide a "safety zone" between dock and boat with a unique "spring action" that keeps your boat away from the dock. The large diameter solid fiberglass rods are wrapped with cross-wound layers of fiber for superior strength and flexibility. The durable solid cast-aluminum base has a molded-in cleat and ring to easily fasten your lines. A functional roller tip on the whip in addition to a unique tensioner allow easy one-hand operation. Deluxe 14' Whips offer a "plug and play" design for quick and easy separation of the two whip halves for storage. All Dockmate Mooring Whips come as a pair with all necessary lines and hardware to complete installation. Note that some docking conditions may be too rough for this type of system. 3-year warranty.

Q:I have a premium mooring whip (14'). One of them cracked. Can I just order one replacement whip?Asked on 7/26/2009 by Jon from Spring Lake, MI
A:Yes, the replacement top for the 14' whip is item 74612 and the replacement bottom is item 74855.Answered on 7/31/2009 by Ryan from Overtons
Q:I have a 22' pontoon boat. Is a pole for 23' boats good or do pontoon boats need stronger poles? Thank you.Asked on 5/20/2009 by Anonymous
A:I would use a combination of the length and weight of the boat to determine the correct size. You can probably use either 74607 or 74609 but double check your weight of the boat and motor to make sure.
Keep in mind that some docking conditions may be too rough for a whip type of mooring system.Answered on 5/26/2009 by Michael from Overtons
A:Use the recommended size provided in the catalogue and you will have years of service. This is the second set added to our current dock configuration with one watercraft 22'ft. and the second 26'ft.Answered on 6/29/2009 by Mike the Financial Planner from Chiopee, MA, using product in NH.
