      Is 8" overall, but this is a small light duty cleat for small ropes- not like the typical 8" cleat. Can only use very small rope.

        Built extension for pier and these matched 20 year old cleats except that they were shinier. However, had to ream out holes to accomodate 1/4" SS bolts, but this was no big deal. Should hold up well as the older ones certainly did.
