A:Thanks for your question. This steering wheel has a 3/4" tapered shaft which is industry standard and fits almost every mechanical and hydraulic helm. No. The tapered shaft is not keyed.

A:The knob is NOT bolted to the wheel, the stud for the knob is welded to the ring, and the knob is fastened with nylock nut under the black cap. There are NO bolts used to attach the knob.Answered on 11/17/2014 by Schmitt Marine from Lancaster PA
