Designed to meet the durability and performance requirements of the pro angler, the Daiwa Tatula Type-R Baitcast Reel offers a rugged gear train, fully supported within a rigid aluminum housing. Up front, a unique, hybrid-design level wind combines the durability of a standard level wind with the casting performance of Daiwa's T-Wing aperture. The 8-bearing drive system - consisting of 7 ball bearings and 1 infinite anti-reverse roller bearing - is paired with Air Rotation technology for silky-smooth, effortless retrieves every time. The reel is constructed of a sturdy aluminum frame and side plate (on the gear side) for lightweight strength. The Ultimate Tournament Carbon Drag (UTD) system employs oversized carbon drag washers to deliver maximum fish-stopping power. Magforce Z Cast Control allows the spool to start faster and spin longer, unhampered by magnetic braking. Additional features of the reel include a corrosion-resistant clutch mechanism; an extra-long, 90mm swept power handle with weight-reducing cutouts; and an I-Shape handle knob for increased cranking comfort.
