This is a very good gun for it's price. No extra stuff, just a good gun. The only bad thing about this is it makes the sound of a .22 rifle! The first time you shoot it smoke comes out, so it looks like a real gun! I would NOT shoot this in a backyard. Unless in the country.

So far I've only used it in the basement, so I'm only throwing them maybe 15 yards. After adjusting the scope it consistently shoots a 2 inch group if I use the same weight pellet, if sighted in with a 8 gr. pellet the heavier ones will go a couple of inches high. The weather is starting to warm up so I will be able to see how it does at longer ranges in a few weeks.

Comments about Crosman Phantom 1000 .177 Break-Action Air Rifle With 4 x 32 Scope:
Great for older boys who have outgrown their B-B Guns and want something more accurate and longer distance. It's still a bit heavy so standing firing is difficult for younger boys.

Comments about Crosman Phantom 1000 .177 Break-Action Air Rifle With 4 x 32 Scope:
I purchased my Phantom and went to sight it in. It was WAY low, after adjusting the sights to their max elevation it was still too low! I went back out and purchased a scope and was still unable to compensate for the drop of the recommended Crossman .177 pellets. My father in law then pointed out that the pellets were not penetrating the doubled over piece of cardboard target. This was after the recommended "100 round" break in period. Defective and VERY difficult to return (it states you must return it to Crossman) [...]

this is a great gun but it is a lot more money in the store than online but i got mine at [...] for about 30 bucks cheaper than at gander mountain. this gun is well worth the money you can make 100 yard kill shots on squirrels, rabbits, and crows. it has a small recoil like a 22 but it is not as strong.

How do u adjust the trigger on this gunAsked on 12/23/2010 by D.A.M. from pittsburgh pa1 answer
A:
I had the same concern with my new air rifle, there are two screws located by the trigger, the smaller of the two (phillips head) is the one that is used for the trigger pull sdjustment. Turn clockwise to reduce the pull pressure. I just kept turning and shooting to I felt it was comfortable.Answered on 2/7/2011 by Snack Time from Hattiesburg, MS

Q:
ok im going to be on a local airsoft team and we will play on a acre of land should i buy this for the team or not?Asked on 1/5/2010 by cbcs from ky2 answers
A:
By team if you mean like your team vs another team then yo are thinking of the wrong kind of guns these are Air rifles which are NOT to be used as airsoft and/or shooting at other people airsofts are the guns with the orange tip.Answered on 1/30/2010 by Helper from Fortgratiot MIA:
Absolutely not! These are not airsoft rifles! Airsoft rifles shoot 6mm plastic bb's and might break skin at point blank range. All airsoft guns have a bright orange or yellow tip on the barrel. This is a medium powered air rifle which shoots lead pellets (ie; bullets) they are forced through the barrel at subsonic to supersonic speeds. This definately WILL INJURE OR KILL SOMEONE! Always practice real gun safety with these weapons!Answered on 3/26/2012 by A from Illinois
Q:
could this air rifle kill anything from a fox-coyote at about 20 yards? Also what is the best distance for killing larger game like rabbits.Asked on 12/19/2009 by Anonymous from Sheboygan Wisconsin1 answer
A:
i think to take out game like o fox you are better off using a 22 or something larger. this gun would probably just wount the animal causing it more pain. you could set a live trap or shoot it with an actual fire arm. this gun works on rabbit with a good shot if not youll end up chasing a screaming rabbit down.Answered on 1/6/2010 by headshot ljb from crofton, md
