This one takes me back to my youth when I had one of these without a scope and it was accurate and durable. It will shoot BB's in a scatter pattern when you load 4 or so,but don't try that with pellets, because they will jam.

Comments about Crosman 760 Silver .177-Caliber Variable Pump Air Rifle:

I'm 67 years old and find this little gun a joy to shoot. Its accurate especially with the scope, relatively quiet, and perfect for shooting outback in the yard.
Being shorter 5' 8" and having a shorter arm length makes this a perfect rifle for me. I also shoot high power and black powder, but this is my choice to be able and take out and use daily. Its inexpensive to shoot, and with the plastic stock, makes for easy cleaning I don't worry about excess roughness.

Comments about Crosman 760 Silver .177-Caliber Variable Pump Air Rifle:

Delivery was faster than promised. My Crossman 760 finally gave up after years and I replaced it with this one, my initial impression is they have taken care of some design flaws from older models and kept the favorable characteristics. The gun is very accurate and user friendly, I am going to get another one and not let the kids use it, since they are a little rough, want mine un-abused.

It could potentially. However for consistent hunting we would recommend a larger rifle.

An object traveling at 625 fps will definitely kill a bird. The question is if you can hit it and where you strike the bird. Some birds have very thick wing feathers that can slow down or repel gun fire.

A drivers license...you do not need a fire arms ID card. or maybe just state picture ID. A drivers license for sure will let you buy the gun. I am from Jersey and air rifles from PA or NY State I use just a picture ID drivers license.............
