Q:Is this cover waterproof from the factory or does it need waterproofing by the customer before use?
Thanks!Asked on 1/6/2011 by TL from Discovery Bay, CA
A:No, this cover is not waterproof, it is water resistant. So if you want it waterproof, you would have to add that additional agent.Answered on 2/15/2011 by Bryant from Tech
A:You do not want to waterproof the cover. there is a good reason why they are only water resistant and NOT waterproof. The jet ski is designed to get wet but a waterproof cover will keep the moisture inside and will quickly mildew the ski. You want the cover to "breath". The purpose of the cover is not to provide a garage for the ski but to keep and protect it from the harmful UV rays of the sun and other outside elements other than water.Answered on 8/28/2012 by Rusty from South Carolina
