Comments about Connelly Enzo Rear Plate Binding With Hinge Tech:
I bought and used these bindings over the summer of 2010. Although I thought they were excellent bindings and they are, I found out the hard way that they don't release during a crash. I usually fall harmlessly but this time I fell leaning out away from the boat and fell face first. The impact should have caused the ski to release from my foot since I was falling away from the direction of the boat. Well it didn't and my ankle took the force causing a painful fracture to my front foot. Now I'm out of work tor the next 6 to 8 weeks. I may have to go back to my older binding just for a peace of mind next time I want go to ski slalom. Before the accident I thought these bindings were the bomb.

Comments about Connelly Enzo Rear Plate Binding With Hinge Tech:
At the beginning of the season my older Connelly Vision bindings wore out. It saddened me that the Vision binding was no longer available forsale so I began looking for a replacement. I went with Connelly because I ski on a Connelly F1 and didn't want to take any chances on a different brand not fitting the ski. I wasn't about to drill new holes into a ski that I paid 760 dollars for. So I had to get Connelly's best, that being the Enzo. I bought the pair and installed them to the ski. Although the red doesn't quit match my blue ski, it still looks pretty good. At first, I was not sure I liked the bindings. They just didn't feel comfortable with the hinge open. After skiing on Visions for the last 5 years, it was a hard ajustment going from slip on's to laces. OK, first no soap is needed and that was nice. I opened the hinge, slid my foot inside and closed the hinge, pulled the strings all the way tight and took her out for a test drive. Wow, incredible hold. Because my foot is so stable, my skiing went up two knoches. I started skiing with my dad when I was ten and now I'm 46. I was already a pretty good skier but now I am a [*] good skier. I can hear people in the boat ooing and awing as I make my cuts. I have yet to take a hard fall because of my incredible control with these great bindings. You just have to get use to them and break them in a bit. The front toe was tight at first but now feels fine. My only complaints are that the laces loosen sometimes making it impossible to continue the pass. I am hoping it is just operator error. Also the laces get a little tangled causing more time to get going. I can't tell you if they release after a hard fall yet because I don't fall much. that part worries my a bit. I want to know that they will release when the time comes.
