Comments about Connelly Cadet Combo Waterskis:

Our just turned 7 yr old granddaughter got up on the second try and stayed up even with several 180 degree turns. By the second day she was skiing one-handed and waving to people. Our 5 yr old grandson took more time to get up the first time but by the second day he was skiing around the lake. The just turned 4 yr old is still working on getting up. The 7 yr old will try it without having the skis connected next time. Best investment we ever made.

Comments about Connelly Cadet Combo Waterskis:

I purchased these trainers a week ago and all three of my kids; ages 9, 6, and 4 water skied for the 1st time this past weekend. They all got up within 2 tries. There is some work to get the "V" to the skis and handle adjust right, but after that the skis worked perfect. A very good product from Connelly!

Comments about Connelly Cadet Combo Waterskis:

The skis are great, light, broad and well built. The rope set up is a bit confusing and we needed to shorten the rope clipped to the ski bar before it bore the brunt of the pull. After that...we had two 7 year old girls up and skiing in no time and do they love it. A few suggestions: 1)We started the kids from a sitting position on a big towable (like a Big Mable)with a person in the water holding the back strap on the skis (to keep tips up and resist the pull) and the other hand on their vest. This let the tension build just enough that they popped right up (and left a place for the adult to float on until we returned for them). 2)Don't connect the rope to the boat (as one review suggested) the adult holding the rope on the boat (if braced)can act as a shock absorber for the skier by moving their arm fore and aft. 3)Put the boat slightly in forward to build some strain and then hit it. Don't hesitate to get them up to about 3k rpms as they are more stable. Hope our learning will make yours easier.

No, the Cadets are for kids under 80lbs. You will need to order Super Sport Jr Combos 816410 for $169.99, they are for skiers under 125ibs.
