Product Description
composite_marine Four-blade Comprops are used as original equipment by many boat manufacturers such as Regal, Wellcraft, and Four Winns. Comprops run fast and smooth, while providing excellent cornering characteristics. You'll also find outstanding acceleration and quick on-plane times with these new props. Comprops are made of a high-tech composite that resists leading edge dings common to aluminum propellers. If you have a high speed prop strike, the Comprop blades are designed to break and absorb much of the shock, reducing costly drive train repairs. (It costs much less to replace a Comprop than a lower unit.) At prices up to 40% lower than aluminum props and up to 80% less than stainless steel, Comprop simply can't be beat for low cost and high performance. Boats and applications vary widely. When replacing a propeller use one of similar size and pitch to achieve similar performance. IMPORTANT NOTICE: If application is more than 225 shaft hp or boat is more than 21' long or 3,000 lbs. in weight, then a Comprop is recom-mended at reduced power only. 15 tooth, 4" hub

      I run my boat in a river where the bottom is constantly changing. This prop provides great performance and protection. When I accidently strike something it protects the motor and even when severly damaged gets me back to the ramp.

          Pitch and dia. are not comparable to SS or Al props.
          Don't think you can swap a Comprop for a similar size SS or Al prop. You may overrev your engine if you use the same pitch Comprop. Comprop information is not helpful.

                  Price is good and prop looks great. Runs smooth without vibration but as for performance, the prop slips excessively and ventilates much easier than my stock Black Max. Best use is as a spare. 2 stars if you are looking for performance 5 stars if you want a inexpensive spare.

                      The prop fitted the shaft perfectly first time, the acceleration showed a marked improvement although there was a slight loss of top speed, this may be that there is a more suitable pitched blade. I will probably buy another as an experiment as there appear to be 5 different ones that fit my OBM. At 30% of the price of a makers alloy prop, who cares!
