Comments about Columbia Women's Baselayer Lightweight Short-Sleeve Top:
I used the shirt for horseback riding on two 92 degree days with moderate humidity. Although the shirt is cool when it gets wet, I didnt notice it cooling me at all. I was still hot and my face was red when I got back in my truck. It is about equal to any other athletic shirt I have. My HyperKewl Ultra Sport vest is great at cooling but wet therefore heavier. This shirt is VERY thin material and in white, was not my favorite look. The red or blue that Columbia offers would be much better colors although the minimal cooling would be the same. I read you have to dry the shirt then re-wet it for the temporary cooling to kick in again. That must be why I was hot. Also it came in an odd plastic tube that seemed pointless and isnt environmentally friendly.
