A Cold Smoke Generator offers up to 4 hours of smoke time and easily attaches to your existing grill or smoker. No expensive cartridges to buy-just use your favorite wood chips, small chunks, or pellets. A Cold Smoke Generator can be refilled at any time during the smoking process without having to relight or open your grill or smoker. Allows for smoking at temperatures under 100°F. Designed with a smoke outlet tube above the fuel source to prevent clogging. Includes a removable end cap for easy lighting. Dial in your favorite cooking temperature and use the adjustable air pump to control your smoke level. Easily attaches to existing grills and smokers.

One must purchase an adapter to use with a ceramic cooker. I have cold smoked venison as well as used it to add smoke while hot smoking salmon. Works great and very easy to add more wood chips 'on the go'. It DOES produce a lot of soot/resin and must be soaked & cleaned after each use. This is much better than the tin can/soldering iron technique I had been using.

    I installed this on an existing gas smoker. I was looking at buying a new smoker because the gas smoker wouldn't produce enough smoke at low temps. The smoker I found that got good reviews for smoking at lower temps was a Traeger but I couldn't justify the $500 price tag, especially when the smoker I have still works. Adding the cold smoke generator was the best thing I could do for the money.

        I attached the unit to my electric smoker per instructions. Electric smokers usually have wide temperature swings as the wood chips burn in the unit. The Cold Smoke Generator attaches to the outside of the box and provides consistent and long lasting smoke without spiking the temperature. I was able to smoke the fish for 6 hours per my recipe and then bring up to temp to finish the batch. It was easy to use. You do need to clean it up after using it but that was no big deal. Smoking fish is now way easier and more consistent. I put a lot of work into catching , cleaning, brining and drying the fish before I put them in the smoker. That is way too much work to risk spoiling the batch by bad temps.

            I am thrilled with my purchase of the Cold Smoke III Generator! I purchased it as a gift for my grilling/smoking enthusiast friend and he couldn't be happier! So far he has smoked a turkey, a chicken, multiple butts, various cheeses and even salt, the idea for which he found in the included recipe book. I have enjoyed being the taste tester in his various endeavors. The meats are so tender and rich in smoky flavor! I higly recommend this to anyone who enjoys grilling or smoking or eating these foods. THIS MAKES THE PERFECT GIFT!!
