The noise-cancelling mic blocks background noise. BURP feature vibrates water out of the speaker grill for improved performance. The Cobra MR HH330 VHF radio receives all US, Canada, International, and NOAA weather channels. Also features weather alert, instant channel 16, unlimited memory channels, tri-watch, scan, memory scan, illuminated function keys, and large illuminated LCD display. Selectable 1, 3, and 6 watts for short and long range. Cobra MR HH330 radio includes 1000 mAh lithium ion rechargeable batteries, AC/DC desktop charger, and spring-loaded swiveling belt clip. 2.4"W x 1.4"D x 4.8"H (not including antenna).

                My boat is used on Lake Erie. Because it's the most shallow of the Great Lakes weather advisories are very important. Should problems arise, effective ship to shore cummunications are essential. This product works as advertised.

                Will use the product as back up assistance in the wild. Decided on a floating unit as we will be on open water in Kayaks. Seems a reasonable size. Nice to have the added backup of regular batteries but it was a bit of a pain to buy the accessory separately and needed to go to the manufacturer. Who, was ver helpful and knowledgable.

                      yes but you need the AA adapter from Cobra. also using the adapter the radio will not float as mentioned in the Cobra manual.
