Comments about Cobra Marine Cobra The Edge Planing And Stabilizing Plate, A36 Galvaneal, black:

I own an 18 1/2 Foot 1990 Celebrity Ski Boat with a 4.2 Liter V-6 Engine. Before installing the Cobra Edge stabilizer (hydrofoil), my boat would "walk" on its stern with the bow so high in the air that I could see over it and then drop down once we gained speed at around 3,000 RPM. The Stabilizer made a huge difference; the bow hardly raised out of the water at all and I was able to "trim up", which before, when I would "trim up" the bow would rise up and essentially go into a "stall". My fuel consumption was much less and my boat has a much smoother ride now. It works like a charm. As to top end, we confortably ride between 25 and 30 MPH as we are not speed freaks, although the boat can approach 50 mph on a really "glass like" suface. I highly recommend the Cobra Stabilizer.

Makes my pontoon much more stable in choppy water and really helps trim control adjust to various loads. No serious differences in economy or speed. Overall, I'm highly pleased.
