I bought this as an easy solution to replace my stearn light and not have the light drain my battery throughout the night. The clamp and support are good but the light itself was...well cheap. When I put the batteries it the light would flicker because the battery could move around on and off of the contact. If you try to screw the top in tighter to resolve this the threads just allow it to pop lose again. After some patience I got it to work consistently enough to use it on an over night trip. The batteries last at max two nights which is not great when you consider it is two D batteries. The third night the light bulb decided to burn out. I would not buy this product again. I will be looking for a LED solution that doesn't eat batteries quickly and is far less likely to burn out so quickly.
