Mr. Bluegill himself, Dave Genz, has designed the perfect ice spooler combination for tight lining panfish in shallow water. The large-arbor graphite reel reduces line coiling and twisting, providing a more natural presentation of bait. Also features a longer stem, allowing a more efficient grip for a better bite detection. Deluxe-style friction disk dial drag system. Light weight reduces fatigue. Extended reel "foot" offers better handling and effective grip. Includes a fast-action-tipped composite rod with stainless steel black frame, aluminum-oxide guides, and a graphite composite reel seat. Left or right-hand retrieve with oversized soft-touch knob.

            Worst purchase of the season for me. After setting the hook on 1 ten inch gill the rod splintered. Reel is alright but not good. Much happier with the Black Betty combo.

            Great all around straight line rod. Great action on spoons or jigs. Only flaw is pulling line out to fast to get down hole is that sometimes line slips through where reel seperates. Reel seperates to change from right hand to left hand. If you take your time than it works awesome.
