Comments about Carhartt Series 1889 Military Jacket (Style #J290):

For Carhartt's most expensive jacket, they really didn't put too much into its design. It certainly looks cool. But for the price I would have liked a fully lined coat. The tiny patch of flannel on the back just doesn't cut it in my book. Also the sleeves are a little long. The description says "Hook and loop" adjustable sleeves, but in reality there is only a velcro adjustment. And that, in my mind, is what kills the coat. It seems small, but in order to wear this coat I will need to tighten the sleeves. Velcro just doesn't ever stand the test of time. Save your money and buy a Detroit jacket.
