This is a solid, durable jacket and very recommendable. A couple things I've noticed. Due to that this has a rugged denim outer, realize it may seem stiff at first but it's easily gotten used to. After a day I didn't notice it anymore. Also, Carhartt, in general, at times, seems to have some erratic sewing on their seams, but never in a way that reduces strength or durability. The colors are pretty decent but I admit I haven't washed it yet to be able to say how they hold out through that, but they put these through a special process resulting in a nice unique look to each one. The inside pockets are a big plus and are roomy enough for most smallish items. Overall I have no regrets to buying this, and plan to have it for several years.

I bought this jacket for my grown son, who works in construction. He loves Carhartt brand, and was so excited about the jacket, but upon trying it on, realized it was cut short. When he raised his arms the jacket rode up too high. I'll have to find another Carhartt jacket that is cut longer in the torso. Too Bad!!!! He loved it!!

A:
Not completely, but I have welded in these jackets before and they dont catch on fire. They will get this little burn marks where the slag has hit it. If you starch the coat or jacket the the red hot beads of slag will just slide right off and not burn the material.Answered on 12/17/2010 by Jeff from Some Where between here and there, Texas
