Comments about Carhartt Extremes Zip-to-Waist Biberall/Artic Quilt Lined (Style #R33):

Shoulder strap clips are junk - zipper doesnt go down far enough you pretty much have to take them off to use the restroom - But are very warm so serve the main purpose as to why I bought them

I live in Northern MN, and wear mine while ice fishing in temps down to -30F, plowing snow on a tractor with no cab, and doing farm chores. They are very warm, many times I find myself removing my jacket if doing something strenuous or I get overheated. In 30 degree temps, they might actually be TOO warm.

As for waterproof....I can't personally say, they're made of a heavy canvas type material, so you could spray them with a water repellent.

I bought these last year for ice fishing during the sale. I can not say enough good things about them. They are amazing, I just wear a pair of long johns and jeans under them and I am good to go. Kneeling next to a hole jigging or walking around never got cold once. If you are a bigger guy like I am make sure that you wear a base layer to keep the sweat off of you. Yeah they are that warm, in my honest opinion of course.
