Comments about Carhartt® Extremes® Coat/Arctic Quilt-Lined (Style #C55)<br>:
I bought this jacket to commute in the D.C. area. I take the trains and buses and was tired of being cold in my ski jacket. This coat blocks the wind like there is a wall around you. At times the wind would nearly knock me over but I couldn't feel the cold. One night I went walking in 25 degrees and a blizzard. I was out for over 2 hours and sweating the whole time in my carhartt. Try to buy it small as it works better the closer to your body it is. Very stiff at first but loosens up just fine in time.

yes i have wash the coat 3 times . timAnswered on 12/7/2010 by TIM C from MICHIGANA:
My husband works construction and often comes home covered in grease or coal dust. I've machine washed his Carhartt coat many many times. The color fades after a while but the coat is still going strong.Answered on 12/8/2010 by peetie pie from central wisconsinA:
It says that you can machine wash it on cold with other colors and tumble or drip dry, no heat. However, I recently had bed bugs and had to dry everything on high heat. It survived but feels a little smaller than before. Still works grea though.Answered on 3/24/2011 by Naturally Outdoors from Gaithersburg, MD
