We added this griddle to the Explorer Camp stove and it was terrific for cooking bacon and eggs, fajitas, and burgers on our camping trip. Loved that the grease drain had a place to attach a can. Vegetable size can works great! Clean up was easy, we lit burners on low, poured on some water and a little soap and washed it all into the catch can. This made cooking at camp a pleasure instead of a chore since we were feeding a group of 16. Seems pricey, but it is very heavy duty and we believe it will last a lifetime!

Comments about Camp Chef® Professional Fry Griddle, 15" x 32":
I was hesitant to buy this item on line. I thought that the metal used in the construction of this thing would be thin and lightweight and not heat/retain heat properly. I was wrong. This thing is thick, 1/4". It heats very well, cooks and cleans great. No sticking.
The only bad things about it are; Heavy but if it was not heavy it would not heat worth a hoot. The grease cup holder is not worth a hoot and you cannot hang it on the grill properly. Poor engineering design on that.

Bill,
No it is not cast iron, but it feels heavy like it is. The box says it is steel, I believe.Answered on 6/24/2010 by Lab Lady from Stuttgart, AR
Q:
Is this for outdoor use only or can it be used indoors on a stovetop? Wondering if it would heat evenly on an electric stove.Asked on 3/31/2009 by Anonymous1 answer
VERIFIED BUYER
A:
The framework would prevent it from contacting the elements on an electric, and most ranges are 30" wide-it would most likely sit on the counter top and not the range.Answered on 6/3/2009 by Bob the neighbor from Palm Bay, Florida
