We have a Tracker Fish Barge 21' and we must drive it up onto the trailer. The trailer slides make it so much easier. Because of the size of the trailer, we needed two kits.

Only used once but the difference in loading my boat was huge. Before I installed these my boat was almost impossible to get all the way up to the winch stop, now it slides up almost too easy. Great product.

The mail order system worked great. Installation is a snap. They allow the 'Bunk wood boards' ample air flow and sun lite so they dry. I put two coats of wood protective on first, then the bunk slides. "They look great".

These pads would work great with your boat. No scratching of the Hull also.

We have a 16ft, Bayliner outboard. Where we launch our boat, most of the boat and bunks are up out-of-the water. How would this work? We could put water and dish soap on the bunks.

                  A:

The trailer slides mount on the top of the bunk boards, and AFTER the boat trailer is in the water, you will want to disengage the winch from the bow's eyelet to unload the boat. If you disengage the winch from the bow's eyelet before backing the boat down the ramp it may come off the trailer before you make it to the ramp. These slides are very slick.

i have a 25 foot bunk style trailer,(25 foot Pontoon) i want to install something like this but do not know exactly what package i need. each side has two bunks @ 23 feet long so how many kits would be recommended to ease in loading and unloading?

                  A:

The pads are 15 inches in length and it states in the description you get 10 pads. If you have 2 bunks at 23ft. 23ftx12in=276in Then you would multiply that by 2. That is 552 inches. The kit is 10 pads times 15in and that equals 150in. I would say you probably need 4 packs.

                • A:

Double that -- each side of the trailer has a total of 46' of rail
                  46X12/(15X10) X2(sides)!!= 6 sets

some "small" spacing would be OK

Not per say, because they will handle what your bunks do. You are just placing them over your current wood bunks so they should work just fine.

It is recommended to typically keep them within a few inches of each other. Spacing them that far apart may not provide full support and protection.

                  A:

These will work on an aluminum hull, and you will need to run them the length of the boat. You may not have to run them to the very front of the boat depending on the shape of your hull. The goal is to strategically place the slides in places that it will make it easier for the boat to slide onto and into position on bunk boards on your trailer.

My boat is large, close to 5000 pounds. How do they fix to the bunks. If they are srewed or stapled will they crush under the weight of my boat and scrape the gel coat? I store my boat on the trailer for the winter also. Will they hold up under that?

                • CUSTOMER CARE

                  A:

These are screwed in and should hold up to the weight of the boat. These are made out of a high impact, rugged plastic material that is designed to withstand pressures like this.
