Comments about Buck Knives Buck PakLite Caper:

JUST DID MY CHRISTMAS EXCHANGE WITH MY NEIGHBOR YESTERDAY. HE GOT ME THE BUCK PAKLITE CAPER STAINLESS STEEL VERSION. I CAN'T WAIT TO TAKE IT WITH ME SQUIRRL HUNTING NEXT TIME I GO IN THE WOODS. I REALLY LIKE THE DESIGN OF THE KNIFE AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW THE BLADE SHARPEN'S OUT ON A SHARPENING/OIL STONE WHEN IT NEEDS TOUCHED UP FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME. THE 420 HC STEEL BLADE SHARPEN'S VERY EASY I HAVE OTHER BUCK KNIVES WITH 420 HC AND DONT HAVE ANY TROUBLE GETTING THEM RAZOR SHARP TO WHERE THEY SHAVE HAIR OFF MY ARM. I HAVE A BUCK 110 2012 MODEL YEAR AND IT GET'S LIKE A RAZOR. ALSO OWN A 1974 110 WITH 440C STEEL THAT IS A LITTLE HARDER TO SHARPEN BUT ONCE SHARP IT EASY TO KEEP A EDGE ON. THE 420 HC STEEL IS VERY EASY TO KEEP RAZOR SHARP WITH A GOOD QUALITY STONE.

Comments about Buck Knives Buck PakLite Caper:

Not only a well-designed and easily-cleaned caping knife, but also great for getting into tight areas when processing a deer - able to remove meat in tight areas and angles that other hunting knives won't reach.
Also the best price - other sellers have let the price increase a lot, due to the rise in price of steel (due to fuel costs), but got it at nearly last year's price.
The narrow blade was dull after skinning and processing three does -- not sure that should be characterized as "dulls quickly," given the bevel -- but it sharpens easily enough with a steel and strop.
